HOW TO GET TO LLORET DE MAR FROM THE BARCELONA OR GIRONA AIRPORT

Lloret is 70 km from Barcelona and 40 km from Girona. The distance from Barcelona airport is 90k, and from Girona-Costa Brava airport the distance is 30km. You can also get to Blanes by train, from Barcelona and by bus from Barcelona’s El Prat airport, from the same city and from Girona airport.

TRANSFER FROM BARCELONA AIRPORT TO LLORET DE MAR BY TRAIN

There are no direct trains from Barcelona airport to Lloret de Mar. Therefore, it is necessary to take a train to the center of Barcelona to head towards the north of Catalunya.

Take the Barcelona airport train : from R2 Nord to Estació Sants. If you arrive at Terminal 1 (T1) you will not be able to walk directly to the train station, as it is 4 km away. You must take a transfer bus  outside the terminal.

At Estació Sants you will have to change. There are no direct trains to Lloret de Mar, it is necessary to take a train to Blanes and catch a bus from there. It is not as complicated as it sounds, it is quite easy. When you arrive by train in Blanes you will find the bus to Lloret in front of the station exit.

To know the timetable for this train, you need to go to the local trains section of the RENFE website: Cercanías . The train you will take is the R1 line: destination Blanes or Maçanet / Massanes. The trip lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. There are two trains that leave for Blanes every hour. If you are in Barcelona you can also take the train from Plaça Catalunya or Arc de Triomf station.

The Pujol bus company schedules buses from the Blanes train station to Lloret (about 2 euros each way). The schedules vary according to the day of the week, but there is always a bus waiting at the Blanes station for each train that arrives, except after 22:00 (check timetables). However, they normally circulate twice an hour. The trip takes about 15 minutes.

The bus stops at the main bus station in Lloret. From this point to the hotel there are about 8 minutes on foot, a taxi to the hotel can cost about 6 euros.

Girona – Costa Brava airport is located about 30 km from the city of Lloret de Mar. Thanks to its low-cost flights, it connects Lloret de Mar with a large number of European cities and also has a significant traffic of charter flights.
